Updated: Feb 20

We know that Dr. Willingham is a fantastic veterinarian, but did you know she secretly loves Bon Jovi? We asked Dr. Willingham 12 questions to get to know her better!

Dr. Willingham's family of five sits on grass, laughing with pinecones. They're outdoors with trees and a wooden cabin, conveying a joyful and relaxed mood.

Q: What are three words you would use to describe Prosper Trail Animal Hospital to a new client?

A: Friendly, Caring, Fun

Q: What aspect of your job do you enjoy the most?

A: Getting to know the clients and their pets! I love getting to know the pets, but I also love getting to know their families: where their kids go to school, upcoming vacations they have planned, and building relationships the same way you would with a friend or family member. I love getting to see families and pets over all stages of their pet's life.

Q: What would you be doing if you weren't a veterinarian?

A: I honestly don't know. I've always wanted to be a veterinarian, and never really had a back up plan! My parents were both veterinarians, and both of my sisters work in veterinary medicine, one has her PhD in canine genetics and the other is a veterinarian that works with dairy animals. I basically grew up in a veterinary clinic and have never even considered another profession.

Q: What is your proudest moment at Prosper Trail Animal Hospital?

A: Making it to opening day...while pregnant...with two young boys at home already! I'm pretty sure people thought I was crazy when I'd show up to meet with contractors while pregnant, like "how are you going to do this?!" But we did it!

Q: What is one item on your bucket list?

A: To travel to Italy.

Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

A: To be able to speak and understand every language! How cool would it be to know what people were saying wherever you went? Traveling would be so easy!

Q: I'm happiest when......

A: .......I'm with my boys!

Q: If you were stranded on an island, what are 3 things you could not live without?

A: I would say my friends and family, but the staff at PTAH would tell you the three things I can't live without are: unsweetened iced tea, blue pens, and Febreze.

Q: What is one food that you could eat every day for the rest of you life?

A: Nachos.

Q: What is the first concert you attended?

A: Dave Matthews Band

Q: What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?

A: An island. Or a villa. Possible a villa on an island. Or a second home.

Q: Is there a musical artist that you are ashamed to admit you love?

A: Bon Jovi!
